Values Arrangements List (VAL)

Consciously or unconsciously, our value systems comprise the life priorities that govern our actions and determine our life goals. The Values Arrangement List (VAL) provides a means to measure and define the values we find most important. In turn, this information gives us an understanding of why we conduct our lives the way we do, and why we might work toward specific goals. VAL relies on a rich philosophical, historical and academic tradition for understanding values, and employs modern statistical scoring methods to generate the survey results.

Uses of VAL include:

• A means to begin the process of examining and clarifying an individual's value system;
• A tool to help guide an individual toward better self-understanding, control, and responsibility based upon his or her own value system; and
• A tool to begin the process of defining and refining an individual's career and life plans based on his or her value system, such as in coaching situations.

The results contained within the VAL Report, along with the recommended activities for acting upon the results, will help you and others leverage the power of personal values.
